Lebaran Prep
I’m not a fashionista. I’m not obsessed with clothes, bags or shoes. If I think I need additional blouse, I choose to go to the easily accessed mall or department store to buy clothes, pay it and then go back. I do window shopping sometimes, but it’s not my hobby, let alone, necessity.
So when my Mom ‘forced’ me to accompany her to Pasar Tanah Abang to buy some dresses, I was reluctant to go. And as I thought before, I was right. It was three weeks prior to Lebaran, but Pasar Tanah Abang was packed by people who wanted to prepare for the D day. And my Mom seemed to browse every store in that market!
Thankfully, I can go break fasting with Gombang. We went to Ayam Ganthari Mahakam, but when we arrived, the place was already full. It’s the same with McDonalds and Pizza Hut at nearby Plaza Blok M. People already sat nicely with their ordered foods on the table, waiting the call of adzan to start eating. We finally managed to get seats at Kafe Excelso that had lots of unoccupied tables. What a day!
